We would like to thank Victor Aume and Loretta Palmer (above) for writing “Richie III.” One of our goals as a theater is to foster an appreciation of the arts in our community, and there’s no better way to achieve that goal than to present works of art created by our very own community members. It was our pleasure to produce “Richie III.” This wasn’t the first locally written show we’ve presented, and we are certain it will not be the last.
The worldwide premier of “Richie III” opens this Friday, January 13 at 7:30 PM and runs through January 22. This is a completely new and original show written by local authors, Victor Aume and Loretta Palmer. This inventive show sets the famous Shakespeare story on an elementary school playground, with a lot more humor and relatable themes. You do not want to miss this unique family-friendly show!

Update (12/27/2016): The lift in Memorial Hall has been repaired and is currently in operation. Thanks again to the County Commissioners’ Office for their hard work!
We regret to announce that the lift used to transport audience members, cast, crew, and even board members to the second floor of Memorial Hall is still out of order. Unfortunately, this means the theater is not handicap accessible, and it will likely remain that way for our upcoming shows, “The Spirit of Christmas” and “Richie III,” as well as auditions for “Rumors.”
We have been in contact with the County Commissioners’ Office concerning this issue, and they have assured us the necessary parts are on order, and repairs will be completed as soon as possible. We would like to thank the County Commissioners for working diligently to ensure that theater and the arts are accessible to the community.
This holiday season, join us for “The Spirit of Christmas,” directed by Jenny Rhoads. This family-friendly show will feature a staged reading of Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” followed by a sketch comedy performance, “A Brief History of Christmas Entertainment” which retells your favorite Christmas tales in a fun, fast-paced style. The show will be performed on December 10 at 8:00 PM and December 11 at 2:30 PM. Admission is free, but a small donation would be greatly appreciated.
Roundtown Players is coming up on its 50th Anniversary, and we are celebrating that occasion by asking our family of supporters to choose which musical we should perform next season.
